SPONSORSHIP opportunities

World Link Partners mission is to provide opportunity beyond poverty, hope beyond the slums.  We do it by linking resources; those with resources with those in need. (Sponsorship)

In Nepal we establish “schools”, we sponsor students, provide food and supplies to those most in need, also medical and dental services/supplies.

In Guatemala we provide financial support (grants) to families most in need: emergencies, help supplement income so children have the opportunity to stay in school, or parents can develop small businesses, chickens, agriculture, skills training or hut repairs. We also provide medical assistance, vitamins and supplies, agricultural development and training for women.

sponsor the caal bol
family

Oscar Caal Bol does everything possible to stay close to his wife, Rubina, and their three beautiful daughters. However, the difficulty of finding a job in the area has brought them to a very poor standard of living. The Caal Bols desperately need to improve their house, buy furniture and other essentials.

Their daily diet consists of beans and herbs. They eat eggs twice a week, meat once a month and fruits once a year. Their daughter Roxana receives Incaparina twice a day to recover from malnutrition.

With your $250.00 gift we will provide opportunity to help with food supplies, improved nutrition, keep Roxana in school and improve their house.

THEIR HOME

The family lives in the Sequila I community. The house has one room and a kitchen. The family has

access to drinking water but there is no electricity. The house is situated 30 minutes away on foot

from the nearest health centre.

WHAT THEY DO

Oscar temporarily helps on nearby

estates by picking coffee or cardamom, but the meager pay is

not enough to support a family.

Oscar’s work pays $65 USD per month. Their grandmother sometimes helps the family.

roxana

Their daughter Roxana is in first grade. Her parents want her to stay in school but the cost of school is prohibitive. Roxana would love to keep learning and going to school more than anything.

SPONSOR
A SCHOOL
IN NEPAL

Providing education through school sponsorship has been and will continue to be our priority in Nepal. Our goal for 2021 was to establish 10 new schools. We quickly received sponsorship for 6 schools from January to March, however due to the pandemic, lockdowns temporarily changed the focus to survival and feeding of the teachers, students, their families. Funding helped feed over 500 families. As lockdowns become less restrictive and children and teachers are gathering, we are putting our efforts into 6 more schools in smaller villages. Because of you, kids in rural villages can attend school for the first time!  Sponsor a school for $2,500.

Six years ago a bus hit a truck bearing 20 workmen. All died, including the husband and father of the Choc Sub family. Alicia was left to provide for herself and her six children. Her older children, Luis and Laura, gave up studies to take care of the house and work. Luis and Laura’s sacrifice allowed the younger siblings to go to school for the first six years of their education. Their diet consists mostly of herbs, beans and chili. The family eats fruit and eggs once a week and meat three times a month. Alicia struggled with nursing and couldn’t provide enough milk for the children, contributing to their malnutrition. Narú has since helped them to recuperate.

The Choc Sub family is in need of food, clothes, a new roof, and education.
