World Link’s
premise is: one, people are looking for a way to make a
difference, two, people can make a difference, and three,
people simply need to find a way to make the difference.
Reasons to
use World Link:
• We live on-site: World Link’s
professional staff lives on-site in Guatemala, near project locations.
This provides on-site services that donors may not have
access to on their own. .
Identification of projects because we live on-site, we
have exposure to projects in Guatemala. Having close
connections with numerous projects and project directors
provides the opportunity to determine the quality of the
projects.
We
monitor projects closely to insure accountability and
transparency.
World Link maintains
objectivity: Because World Link does not manage
our own projects, we have the freedom to look at numerous projects,
and identify the one's we consider the most appropriate and
effective. This insures greater objectivity.
maintains flexibility, and allows freedom to discontinue
support if there is a concern.
• World Link
maintains a strong commitment to its donors, and keeps them
appraised of the disbursement of their contributions and
progress of projects they support.
World
Link encourages donors to travel to Guatemala and visit the
projects they provide support for. World Link will
make all the necessary arrangements.
• 100% of the contribution goes
to project support*, i.e., micro finance, food, training, housing, equipment,
etc.
*Project
support includes minimal costs for on-line expenses and travel to projects.
All of our staff are volunteers and nothing is deducted for
rent or overhead expenses.
