Governing Principles

We believe that:
  • The dignity and potential of individuals and families, and that opportunity is a precursor to improved self-esteem, dignity and increased awareness of human rights.
  • The power of grass root organizations and communities to improve lives.
  • The importance of self-determination. Individuals, regardless of their formal education, are aware of what is needed in their communities.
  • The importance of working through existing organizations; doing so improves cost-effectiveness and increases sustainability.
  • Supporting projects that strengthen families, provide education, health, nutrition will create opportunity for a better quality of life.

You make a living by what you earn, You make a life by what you give....Glasow

Our philosophy is summed up by Peter F. Drucker:

The "non-profit" is neither a pair of shoes nor an effective regulation. Its product is a changed human being. The non-profit institutions are human-change agents. Their "product" is a cured patient, a child that learns, a young man or woman grown into a self-respecting adult; a changed human life altogether.
