What we
need:
Funding, of course is the key to
maintaining and expanding the projects. There are
numerous ways to donate: A donation directly to
the specified projects, (Pay Pay, or personal check),
stock transfers, stocks may be transferred directly
into the World Link account, donating in honor of
someone (grandchildren, colleagues, family members, friends),
(this could be a donating a classroom, desks, books, shoes,
in someone's name etc),
and also bequeathing a gift .
People and Networking,
People are the life blood to linking resources. We need to let people know
who we are, what we are doing, the services we provide and
the needs. This may be as simple as forwarding e-mails
regarding our work. People who have traveled to
Guatemala and visited projects can provide a valuable
service by sharing with others the needs and project
information.
Writers to write articles for
publication, newsletters, on-line research and compilation
of humanitarian organizations for an on-line NGO directory.
Where
your money goes:
Financial contributions:
100% of the financial donations go to project support.* This means it
goes to provide the capital for loans, to provide food,
education, housing, health care, and salaries for local staff
(which do not exceed $200/mo.)
*A
minimal amount goes to cover travel expenses.
All our administrative staff are volunteers.
